- Maru's red-orange hairpin (Tsukasa-Leo's colors) is a kind of allegory for her inner attachment to Leo's comeback in The King's Horseback Ride "Judgment". One day during their date (post-timeskip), the hairpin was accidentally missing and Leo was secretly trying to find it since he knew it was an important thing for Maru. Unable to find the hairpin, Leo bought a new one in light blue (mizuiro) which is similar to Maru's eye color, also his birthday color.
For Maru, her new hairpin is a form of "being completely me", while for Leo it is "you are completely mine."
- Leo playfully calls Maru by her first name "Amaru" at times, but he starts using "Amore" instead because it sounds similar and carries a loving connotation, derived from the Italian word for "Love."
- Leo compiled all the songs he wrote about falling in love with Maru into an album. He asked Maru to be his partner, to design the album cover, wanting her to listen to the songs first for inspiration. Whenever Maru listens to the songs, she feels nostalgic and a bit shy.
- Maru has a sketchbook which she usually brings along for urban sketching. But in the hidden back pages, there are many sketches of Leo she drew in it. She's not a poetically minded person, but whenever she comes up with good phrases to help Leo write lyrics, she'll keep them in the back of that sketchbook too... until one day Leo found them (the sketches of him).
- When they are apart, they often video call, or sometimes if they are quite busy, they just exchange messages. Maru is already quite used to and understands Leo's thoughts, which often send messages without context.
- In the post-timeskip, they have one house with two studios (a music studio and a design studio) near ES, one temporary apartment that Leo rented for Maru until her graduation from university, and one in Florence.
- Maru gave Leo the spare key to her apartment so that he wouldn't have to wait outside and could get into her apartment as soon as he wanted. However, Leo had the wrong idea and finally explained to her what giving a key to a lover meant.
It’s called aikagi (love key), an act of giving special things with a slightly erotic and tense atmosphere, such as “just the two of us” and “you can come anytime”.
Leo always had the key with him and put it on a chain, keeping it hidden under his clothes so that he would always remember Maru and come home to her.
- After leaving ES and planning to stay in Shizuoka for a while, Leo and Maru ended up living in the same apartment. Leo arranged for Maru to live in new apartment, which was much better than her previous one, by secretly covering her rent. When Maru found out about this, she felt uneasy because she couldn't repay him since her new job's salary wasn't enough yet. Leo suggested that she stay and take care of the apartment, considering it as their shared living space. They realized they were basically living together, despite not formally acknowledging it.
- Leo likes to tie and style Maru's hair as Maru doesn't care much about it.
- Leo is quite a “touchy” lover, expressing affection and teasing Maru in physical ways as he doesn't hesitate anymore. She does the same and learns to convey her feelings in the same way.
- Maru is more of a hugger, while Leo is more of a kisser.
- As a surprise, Maru likes to secretly plan something for the two of them to spend time together. Unlike Leo who tends to be spontaneous and/or has a quick improvisational plan. Not that he never plans anything as a surprise. Though Maru tries to do the same, in the end, Leo can read her and make it boomerang to tease her.
- Despite the two of them communicating well, sometimes Maru is still shy to express her affection verbally. She ends up doing "acts of service" such as preparing Leo's favorite food or immediately giving medicine if Leo is sick.
- Every time they cuddle, Maru likes to bury her face against Leo's neck or his chest to sniff the fragrance Leo applies there. It surprised him at first, but then he got used to it. Leo also likes the subtle and fresh scent of Maru's fragrance.
- Maru rarely shows her clingy side, but she will suddenly do it when she gets happy or anxious, or when she's sick. That's why Leo is both glad and wary if she suddenly becomes clingy.
- Sometimes Leo mischievously scribbles on Maru's face when she falls asleep.
- Maru loves to take candid photos and make quick sketches of Leo.
- Sometimes secretly, Leo comes to Maru's desk at her college after she resigned from Ensemble Square.
- They'd occasionally visit each other's family homes. At first, Hokuto was still a little awkward about Leo paying a visit there.
- After her resignation, Maru temporarily returned to her hometown near the Shizuoka coast before finding a new job. Leo often went there after helping Maru unload things from her apartment. He has become close especially with Arata, Maru's younger brother. Maru is also quite close to Ruka, Leo's younger sister, and often goes on walks together or learns to write lyrics since both of them are J-Rock fans.
